What this site is for
We explain open source security tools published on GitHub and similar sites, together with safe ways to try them. The goal is to help you decide which tool to pick, how to use it, and how to protect your own systems.
Editorial policy
- We write every description in our own words. We do not copy text or images from READMEs or other sites.
- Every review lists its sources (the official repository or website) and the date we checked them.
- We do not host tool downloads. Always get tools from their official source.
- We do not publish step-by-step attack instructions. We focus on uses that help with defense, auditing, and learning.
- Every tool page shows how far its effects reach and whether the tool needs admin rights or a test lab.
- When we find a mistake, we fix it and update the date.
- Affiliate commissions and tips do not change how we rate or rank tools. See our ads and affiliate disclosure.
Using the tools
